Another rapper making homophobic comments

This is becoming a theme throughout our CelebSexuality.com posts. Rappers, like Detorit’s Eminem, have been pulled up repeatedly for making homophobic slurs and using ant-LGBTQ+ language.

While Eminem shrugged it off and said his fans know he’s just joking, Travis Scott issued a formal apology for his own slurs. He said “Never will I ever disrespect that community,” he said.

What had he said that sparked the backlash? Footage emerged of him calling a group of people “a bunch of queers and f*ggots.”

That last word tends to be used a lot by rappers. Perhaps the new generation will do better. Despite the remarks, Scott has come out hard against the notion he is homophobic.

Scott has also been called transphobic because he removed an image of trans icon Amanda Lepore from his album cover. He has not apologized for this one, but has denied being transphobic.

Is Travis Scott bisexual?

Nothing about Travis’ Scott public comments or dating life suggests he is bisexual. As you’ll see in the next section, it’s all women for the rap superstar.

Macklemore got married after same-sex marriage was legalized

You’re going to figure out right away that Macklemore isn’t gay based on his marriage. He got married to wife Tricia Davis on June 27th, 2015. They commented that it was “after the Supreme Court ruled same-sex couples could do it, too.”

Macklemore himself is married to a woman, so what fueled rumors about his sexuality? It’s mostly his outspoken support of same-sex marriage. He even made a song about it called ‘Same Love’ which certainly fueled rumors that he might be gay. This often happens to straight celebs who speak out in favor of LGBTQ+ rights.

Macklemore also once made a joke that he was gay with Ryan Lewis. “Fine, we’re gay!” he said when questioned about it. He was just playing, but some people took this the wrong way and didn’t pick up on the humor, fueling rumors about Macklemore’s sexuality. This also happened when Eminem said he was gay in a mock interview during a movie.

So, once again we have a straight male celeb who is branded as gay by some people because he supports sam-sex marriage. That’s a common theme on this site.

Is Macklemore bisexual?

Many rappers have had more girlfriends than we can count. Lil Wayne is one example of that, and Tyler, the Creator is racking up quite the count.

However, Macklemore is different. He had a long-term relationship with Saoirse-Monica Jackson before he married Tricia Davis in 2015. That’s tame for a rap superstar!

So, is Macklemore gay?

Clearly, Macklemore is not gay. He is a vocal ally and has supported same-sex marriage for a long time. He also once joked that he was gay – but it was just a joke. Macklemore is happily married to a beautiful woman and has several children. He’s straight.

Rapper Pitbull certainly likes to dress flamboyantly, and he’s on many people’s gaydar as a result. Like most rappers, he likes to dance with beautiful women in his music videos, but is Pitbull really interested in women or does he go the other way?

Pitbull has multiple children

We know what you’re going to say – a man having children says absolutely nothing conclusive about his sexuality. While that’s true, it is a piece of evidence that goes against the idea of him being outright gay. It’s possible for a gay man to have children, but it makes it less likely. Most reasonable people will agree with that.

Second, for it to get to the stage where a woman is willing to have children with a man, there usually needs to be some sexual activity going on. It’s difficult to sustain a long-term, loving relationship with someone if you’re gay.

We’re not saying this is conclusive, but it does suggest Pitbull isn’t totally gay if he is at all.

Is Pitbull bisexual?

Pitbull has had several confirmed encounters with beautiful women and exactly zero confirmed encounters with men. Sure, he could be in private, but there’s no reason to believe he is. Unlike fellow rapper Tyler, the Creator, who joked about being the boyfriend of Jaden Smith, Pitbull has made no public comments about his sexuality whatsoever.

We know Pitbull has several children and has been in a few long-term, committed relationships, but little is known about the women he was involved with. They’re not famous like he is, and he chooses to keep his personal life private, which should be respected.

If internet rumors and speculation are to be believed, we know Pitbull hooked up with Olga Loera way back in the day. There was also a rumor he pulled Rihanna, but that’s unconfirmed and we couldn’t find anything solid to substantiate it. Other than that, his dating life is a black hole – nothing comes out of it and nothing is known about what happens in it.

So, is Pitbull gay?

Internet rumors will continue to persist, but we’re going to say that Pitbull is not gay. There’s just no real reason to believe it, and there’s plenty of evidence that he’s into women. As we said in our article about Lil Wayne, these two are the subject of much speculation. They clearly had a good friendship, but many suspect it was  more than that.

However, when you actually dig down deep, there’s nothing to back any of it up. It’s just a bunch of internet rumors speculating without evidence. Birdman called Wayne a “son” and said the two would always be close despite some money issues. However, since those days, the two have gone to town on each other publicly. Birdman said Wayne is gay and tried to be with Drake who rejected him. However, again, this is nothing but words without any actual evidence to back it up.

However, lots of the sites that spread this stuff are junk. They make up fake quotes and nonsense and try to attribute it to either of the two rappers.

There are also lots of wacko religious/conspiracy videos that accuse Lil Wayne of being on some sort of ‘homo agenda’ trying to blur the lines in sexuality and gender and corrupt the youth.

We pay no heed to this sort of second-rate information. It’s just the internet rumor mill at its worst, and there’s nothing to back any of it up.

Lil Wayne is widely considered to be an ally of the LGBTQ+ community. Unlike many of his fellow rappers such as Eminem, Lil Wayne doesn’t use homophobic lyrics and has repeatedly expressed a friendly attitude towards all sexualities.

Heck, Lil Wayne even says he officiated a gay wedding when he was in prison. While serving time at Rikers back in the day, the rapper says he wed two men and the inmates celebrated with Gatorade afterwards.

Is Lil Wayne bisexual?

Despite all sorts of rumors about him, Lil Wayne has never dated any men and has never said he’s gay or bisexual. There’s no actual evidence to suggest he is.

No, we don’t think there’s anything to any of the rumors about Lil Wayne’s sexuality. As is often the case, it’s just internet speculation with nothing real to back it up. He’s been in endless hookups and relationships with women and is currently married to one. While that doesn’t rule out anyone being gay, there’s nothing to suggest Lil Wayne is anything but straight.

Is Drake Gay? It’s a question a lot of people have been asking since he came out as a lesbian recently. 

Yes, you read that correctly; the world’s top rapper right now has publicly stated he’s a lesbian. But is he gay or trans, or is he just trolling? Let’s see.

Drake comes out of the closet…as a lesbian

On his album Certified Lover Boy, Drake said he was a lesbian. On the song Girls Like Girls, he rapped “Yeah, say that you a lesbian, girl, me too / Ayy, girls want girls where I’m from / Wait, woah, yeah, girls want girls.”

This was taken with a mix of sincere celebration by the trans community and piss-taking laughter by others. The general consensus is that Drake is just playing, expressing his desire for women in a less-than-appropriate way to generate media attention and grab some headlines.

Like fellow rapper Tyler, the Creator, Drake seems to have figured out that making controversial statements about sexuality can generate headlines, which in turn generates album sales. 

Is Drake bisexual?

Drake did once say on Twitter that he swings both ways, but he hasn’t said anything more about his sexuality publicly since. It’s difficult to say if he’s playing, but there’s nothing about the Tweet to suggest he is. 

“This whole rap sh** been crazy, and I wouldn’t have this lifestyle if it weren’t for my fans. You guys are my family and you deserve to know I don’t swing just one way, if you understand you understand if you don’t figure it out.”

All of Drake’s public relationships and hookups have been with women, and beautiful ones at that. He’s dated a huge number of women, including Rihanna, Serena Williams, Julia Fox, Jennifer Lopez, Tyra Banks, Nicole Scherzinger, and Hayley Karrina. Oh, and that’s the short version of the list!

Is Drake gay or not? Nah – it’s just a rumor!

It doesn’t appear that Drake is gay, but he may well be bisexual. While all of his hookups and relationships have been with women, he has made comments that suggest he swings both ways. We’re not at all sure about the lesbian thing, though. Perhaps we’ll someday get a chance to ask him.

Is Eminem gay? That’s  a question many hip hop fans have asked themselves over the years. 

In 2014, the rapper stunned viewers of The Interview by saying he was “surprised nobody had figured it out yet” after explicitly saying that he deals with his issues in his songs and expresses homophobic sentiment because he’s gay. 

Of course, that was just a Hollywood movie, so it was just a line in a script and doesn’t mean anything in reality.

Truthfully, there’s no evidence that Marshall Mathers, Slim Shady, or Eminem (his alter egos) is gay. As far as his public statements on relationships go, as well as his numerous rap songs about them, Slim is all about the ladies, particularly his baby’s momma Kim.

Homophobic lyrics and accusations of gay bashing

Eminem has actually been acused of being homophobic, frequently using derogatory language such as fa**ot in his songs. 

Now, that doesn’t answer the questions of whether or not he’s gay, but it does make it significantly less likely. Even when Eminem was at his peak in the early 2000s, there was no reason to hide being gay – it was already widely accepted by society – and so it’s unlikely that a superstar like him would cover up and go to the opposite end of the spectrum by verbally abusing homosexuals. Tyler, the Creator has also been acused of this.

Does Eminem use Grinder?

There’s a huge rumor that Eminem uses gay dating app Grindr to find dates. However, in a 2020 interview with Vulture, he was asked about his use of dating apps, to which he replied: “I mean, yeah. Are you looking for me to confirm that?” When the interviewer suggested that Eminem might use Grindr, he responded with “Grindr? No, I’m not gay.”

So, is Eminem gay or not?

All in all, we have to conclude that he’s not. There’s just nothing to suggest it. Earlier in his life, Eminem seemed openly hostile to gay people, and while it’s impossible to say if that’s just an attempt to be controversial to grab more attention or whether he does really have an issue with gay men and women, the fact is that it makes it significantly less likely that Eminem is gay. Rumors began circulating that Will Smith’s son was in a gay relationship with tyler the Creator when…well…when Jaden said so openly during a live concert. This allegedly caused Will Smith to go ballistic, but that’s an unconfirmed rumour.

Jaden said that he and Tyler were “boyfriends” and always had been. He took to Twitter to tease Tyler that there was “no hiding it now.”

However, Tyler didn’t either confirm or deny Jaden’s statement. He playfully replied that Jaden was crazy, or words to that effect.

It’s safe to say that some of Tyler’s lyrics have been homophobic before. One prominent example is “Come take a stab at it, faggot, I pre-ordered your casket.” Eminem aka Slim Shady has also released plenty of songs with homophobic lyrics like this.

However, more recent lyrics make it sound as if Tyler may be slowly coming out of the closet. In his latest album Flower Boy, he raps “Next line will have ’em like, ‘Whoa’ / I’ve been kissing white boys since 2004.”

Aside from lyrics, Tyler has been dropping social media hints as far back as 2015.

Are there any clues about Tyler’s sexuality in his public dating life?

No, because he has never publicly dated anyone – male or female. Tyler can literally be linked to nobody in the public eye even thought he’s been in it for well over a decade now.

Is Tyler the Creator bisexual? That would explain a lot, actually, but there’s still no hard evidence of it. The man’s dating life is a total mystery.

So, Is Tyler the Creator Gay or Not?

We honestly have no idea. It’s difficult to imagine why Jaden Smith would say what he did publicly unless there was some truth to it, and the sheer lack of romantic partner’s in Tyler’s life publicly is mysterious, but it’s not evidence of anything other than an absence of long-term, serious public relationships.
