Is Ryan Seacrest gay? The host of American Idol and Keeping Up with the Kardashians has been the subject of lots of rumors over the years, but is there any truth to the rumors?
Good-looking guy syndrome
Scouring the forums and gossip magazines, it quickly becomes clear questions about Seacrest’s sexuality arise from his fashion sense and apparent obsession with how he looks.
While it’s true that gay men tend to have a stellar fashion sense and a great eye for detail, this does not in and of itself mean Seacrest is gay. Heck, there are lots of straight guys that dress well and take pride in their appearances. Look at Daniel Craig, for instance.
Good mates with Simon Cowell
Aside from that, there’s the closeness with fellow American Idol host Simon Cowell. He himself has not escaped rumors that he is gay, although he’s never confirmed or denied it. Cowell has previously joked that Seacrest should “come out” which throws fuel on the flames.
Neither of these things are evidence that Ryan Seacrest is gay. Lots of straight men dress well and have gay friends. It could be that he’s just a cool, accepting guy who also happens to have a killer fashion sense.
Seacret’s dating history – Who has the American Idol host dated?
Seacrest has dated several women in his past, but has never openly dated another man.
He dated Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher in 2006, and in 2009, he had a fling with Playboy’s Sara Jean Underwood. Other girlfriends included Julianne Hough and Shayna Taylor.
Seacrest’s entire public dating life points to a heterosexual man. There’s nothing about it that suggests he’s gay.
So, is Ryan Seacrest gay?
No, he’s straight. There’s no evidence to support the notion that Seacrest is gay. It’s just the usual internet rumors because a good-looking guy takes good care of his appearance.
